Designed for travellers who want more than a standard island tour, this small-group experience combines the adventure of driving a 4WD with the comfort of beach house accommodation, wholesome meals and three days exploring K'gari with an experienced local guide.

With a maximum of just 18 guests, there's more room to relax, more opportunity to enjoy each destination and a much more personal way to experience the island.

And rather than spending your entire tour as a passenger, eligible guests have the opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience driving a 4WD on K'gari's famous beaches and sand tracks.

It's adventurous without roughing it, social without the crowds, and relaxed enough to really appreciate this extraordinary island.

Over three days we'll explore K'gari's remarkable landscapes, from towering rainforest and crystal-clear freshwater lakes to sweeping beaches, freshwater creeks and dramatic coastal headlands.

Depending on tides, conditions and National Park access, highlights include:

Travelling in a small 4WD convoy gives us the flexibility to experience K'gari at a more enjoyable pace while still fitting plenty of adventure into each day

Driving on K'gari is part of the adventure.

After a comprehensive safety briefing, eligible guests can take turns behind the wheel of our 4WDs, following the lead vehicle as we travel along beaches and inland sand tracks.

No previous 4WD experience is required.

Our guide leads the convoy and provides instruction throughout the journey, allowing you to experience one of Australia's great 4WD destinations with support close at hand.

Prefer not to drive? That's perfectly fine too. Sit back, enjoy the scenery and leave the driving to others.

After a full day exploring the island, return to the comfort of our beach house accommodation on K'gari's eastern beach.

Forget packing tents, sleeping on the ground or setting up camp at the end of the day.

Enjoy a shower, settle in, share dinner and relax with your fellow travellers before another day of island adventure.

Standard accommodation is in comfortable shared rooms, keeping the experience friendly and sociable.

A limited number of double-room upgrades are available for couples and guests wanting additional privacy.

Good adventures deserve good food.

Meals are an important part of the Fraser Dingo experience, with fresh, wholesome food prepared for the group throughout your stay.

Start the day with breakfast before heading out to explore, enjoy fresh lunches while we're travelling and return to the beach house for a relaxed evening meal.

Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.

It's less about formal dining and more about great food, good conversation and sharing the day's adventures around the table.

We've deliberately limited this experience to just 18 guests.

Smaller groups mean a more relaxed atmosphere, easier access to the vehicles, more interaction with your guide and the opportunity to get to know the people you're travelling with.

There's no large tour bus and no crowd of 30 or 40 people getting on and off at every destination.

Instead, you'll explore K'gari as part of a small group of travellers sharing an incredible few days together.

No cancellations, refunds or date changes within 7 days of departure date. 
Credit card imprint is taken if you are intending to drive.
The Tour Itinerary can change due to seasons, tides and weather conditions.
If there is only 1 4WD vehicle due to low numbers or cancellations, you will not be able to drive the lead vehicle.
You must be 21 years and over with an open drivers licence to drive.
After booking, all passengers must reconfirm with the operator by 12pm the day prior to departure. 
All people wanting to drive must reconfirm and attend the 7:30am safety briefing on the day of departure.
